Our mod competition has started

To celebrate the achievements of our community, our mod competition is now live!

Modding a game is hard. Why? Well, to make a long story short, it requires very specific skills that go beyond rummaging around in the game editor.
Fortunately, Call to Arms - Gates of Hell comes with a full- blown editor. Theoretically, anyone has a chance to make content for the game.
Many of these are already available in the Gates of Hell workshop on Steam.
Unsurprisingly, thousands of players download and enjoy this incredible amount of extra content, which is free of charge. At the moment, we already have more than 300 available.
This wealth of content was made by individuals who invested many hours producing it. Better still, the majority of mods seems to be backed by historical research as well.

We think that's quite remarkable, because Gates of Hell is more complex than previous games (on the GEM2 engine).
There's a number of new game mechanics which require special dedication, like working on third person settings, the elaborate vehicle setups, and many more.
As a result, these mechanics require a different level of work from the modders.
Nevertheless, judging by what's available in the workshop these days, they stepped up to the plate already.

That means we have all the more reason to celebrate their achievements, and we think that a competition is the best way to do that.
That's why we have now published a set of rules, created a set of prizes. You can read all about it in a new development update. You can find it all on STEAM.
